It’s increasingly common for customers to want to choose which area of your venue their table booking will be in. We’ve now made this very simple.

First, you’ll need to make sure each area that you want people to be able to choose from is configured on your table plan (Till>Till Setup>Table Plan). You can have up to 6 areas on a table plan, so if necessary you can sub-divide physical areas to make it easier to manage (e.g. Restaurant Front, Restaurant Side). For help with the table plan, see here.

Once you have the areas on your table plan, you can set individual booking sessions to present the choice of area to online customers. Go to Bookings>Booking Settings and select the Defined Sessions tab. Select a session in the list and click ‘Edit’. You’ll see a screen like this;

The second from bottom check-box on the left is marked ‘Area selection for online bookings’. Tick this option and click OK, then Save. Customers booking online who choose this session will be presented with a choice of the areas on your table plan as soon as they click the session;
