The Sale Item Report details every item available to be sold. It shows, category by category, each item, its cost price, its sale price and the subsequent theoretical gross profit margin. If no cost price is recorded for the product(s) that make up the sale item the GP column will show ‘N/A’.
Where an item contains more than one product an arrow is shown which allows you to expand the report to show the constituent products and their quantities and costs. This is ideal for checking recipes and identifying issues with GP.
There is an option to filter the report so you can exclude categories or even just certain sale items. Click on ‘Show Filter’ and untick any unwanted categories or items, then click ‘Update Report’. You can then view the entire report again by clicking ‘Hide Filter’.
