The Sales by Sales Price Report is a transaction based report. This means that unlike the Group Sales Report or Weekly Reports it is based on the actual time and date of the transactions rather than the shift date they happen to fall under. Ordinarily those will be the same, broadly speaking, but it’s important to recognise they can differ. Reports like this therefore offer the option of selecting a time range as well as a date range, allowing you to focus on a very specific period of time.

You can filter this report to only show sales of a certain type. The selection can be based on either your reporting groups or stock types. The report then shows your selected reporting groups or stock types, the categories within those groupings and then every item sold in the period, how many were sold at each different price, the total revenue and how much, if any, discount those sales carry against the standard price.
